President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Senate President Godswill Akpabio on his 63rd birthday, describing him as a patriot and a steadfast public servant committed to national development.
In a celebratory message issued on Tuesday, the President praised Senator Akpabio’s decades of leadership across various roles in government.
President Tinubu said he “rejoice[s] with the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, today on his 63rd birthday,” noting that the lawmaker has remained “unwavering in his commitment to building a better nation.”
He highlighted Akpabio’s achievements as Governor of Akwa Ibom State, where he spearheaded major infrastructural growth and “made Akwa Ibom a top competitor in the national economy.” The President also commended him for building one of Nigeria’s most iconic stadiums, which still ranks among the best in the country.
The statement further recalled Akpabio’s tenure in the National Assembly and as Minister of the Niger Delta, where he prioritised development across the region.
As Senate President, Tinubu said Akpabio continues to promote harmony between the executive and legislative arms of government, supporting initiatives that drive peace, security, and national growth.
The President added that he has long admired Akpabio’s “strength of character and ability to remain undaunted even in the face of challenges,” while saluting his “unwavering belief in Nigeria and commitment to its progress.”
President Tinubu prayed for more years of good health, strength, and leadership impact for the Senate President.
