Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has extended warm Eid-el-Fitr greetings to Muslim faithful across the state, urging them to sustain the values of discipline, charity and devotion cultivated during the holy month of Ramadan.

In his goodwill message marking the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr celebration, the governor said the conclusion of Ramadan signifies a period of spiritual renewal and moral reflection, noting that the teachings of the fasting period should remain evident in the daily lives of citizens.

He stated, “My dear brothers and sisters in faith, as we conclude the sacred month of Ramadan, I extend my warmest felicitations to all Muslim faithful in Nasarawa State. We join millions across Nigeria and the world in celebrating the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr, marking the successful completion of thirty days of fasting, prayer, and spiritual renewal.”

The governor emphasized that the holy month, as prescribed in Surah Al-Baqarah, provides an opportunity for believers to strengthen their faith, embrace self-discipline and promote compassion within society.

According to him, “As we transition from Ramadan into the festivities of Sallah, let us carry forward the lessons and spiritual gains of this blessed time.” He urged residents to uphold the spirit of generosity, kindness and good neighbourliness beyond the festive period.

Governor Sule also called for continued prayers for leaders at all levels, stressing the need for governance driven by justice, humility and service to the people.

Highlighting the importance of peaceful coexistence, he noted that residents must remain security conscious and work collectively to maintain harmony across the state, particularly during the celebration period.

He further urged citizens to embrace unity and respect for diversity, describing Nasarawa State as a model of inclusiveness where individuals from different backgrounds coexist peacefully.

The governor also advised motorists and other road users to strictly observe traffic regulations, while directing agencies such as the Federal Road Safety Commission to ensure effective enforcement during the festivities.

Governor Sule concluded by wishing all residents a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration, praying for continued blessings and prosperity across the state.
