Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has nominated eight commissioners to serve in his administration for the remainder of his tenure.
The appointments were announced on Wednesday during plenary at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly in Lafia, where the Speaker, Danladi Jatau, read the governor’s letter to lawmakers.
The nominees are Muhammad Habeeb Nagogo (Wamba LGA), Ahmed Yakubu Mohammed (Lafia LGA), Hon. Mohammed Baba Shehu (Keffi LGA), Hon. Mohammed Iyimoga Oyigye (Obi LGA), Adamu Rabecca Kpadji (Wamba LGA), Nawani Aboki (Doma LGA), Jibril Abdullahi Ibrahim FCNA (Nasarawa LGA), and Ashefo Daniel Paul (Lafia LGA).
The Speaker directed the Clerk of the House to notify the nominees to submit 30 copies of their curriculum vitae and appear before the Assembly for screening on Friday, August 7, 2026.
The appointments come weeks after the Nasarawa State Government carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle as part of efforts to reposition the administration ahead of the end of Governor Sule’s tenure.
The Secretary to the State Government, Labaran Shuaibu Magaji (SAN), had announced on July 22 that six commissioners were asked to step aside following a State Executive Council meeting in Lafia.
The affected ministries included Works, Women Affairs, Information, Lands, Science and Technology, and Security and Other Sundry Matters.
