Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on Monday cast his vote at his polling unit in Ajiya Ward, Jimeta-Yola, during the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Primary election.
The exercise attracted party officials, delegates and supporters as the ADC began the process of electing its presidential candidate ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Atiku, who is one of the leading aspirants in the contest, arrived at the polling unit to cheers from supporters and party members.
Party officials described the exercise as peaceful, transparent and conducted in line with the party’s electoral guidelines.
The ADC presidential primary is expected to produce the party’s flagbearer for the 2027 presidential election.
