Governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have converged on Minna, the Niger State capital, for a Progressive Governors’ Forum meeting focused on governance and party unity.
The meeting, which is taking place at the Government House in Minna, has in attendance the governors of Lagos, Ekiti, Kogi, Delta, Ebonyi, and Imo States. They were received by the host governor, Umaru Bago of Niger State.
According to sources close to the gathering, the meeting is also part of a solidarity visit to the Niger State Government.
In their opening remarks, the Forum’s Chairman and Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, alongside Governor Bago, expressed concern over the rising insecurity and other avoidable tragedies across the country.
Discussions are expected to centre on strengthening collaboration among APC-led states, improving governance outcomes, and ensuring greater party cohesion ahead of upcoming political activities.
