President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has embarked on an official three-nation visit to France, Kenya, and Rwanda.

The trip, announced by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, was rescheduled to commence on Sunday, instead of Saturday as earlier planned.

According to the statement, the President will begin with a stop in France before proceeding to Nairobi, where he is expected to participate in the Africa-France Summit scheduled for May 11 to 12.

The summit, co-chaired by Emmanuel Macron and William Ruto, will focus on key issues including energy transition, green industrialisation, digital transformation, global financing reforms, and climate action.

Tinubu’s participation is expected to reinforce Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening strategic ties with African countries and France, while advancing discussions on economic growth, infrastructure, youth empowerment, and technological development.

Following the Nairobi meeting, the President will travel to Kigali to attend the Africa CEO Forum from May 14 to 15.

Organised in partnership with the International Finance Corporation, the forum will bring together over 2,000 business leaders, investors, and policymakers to explore strategies for scaling African enterprises, promoting regional integration, and boosting cross-border investments.

At both events, Tinubu is expected to present his administration’s reform agenda aimed at positioning Nigeria as a leading destination for investment, while also engaging in high-level meetings with global and African stakeholders.

He is accompanied by senior government officials and is expected to return to Nigeria after the Rwanda engagement.
