President of the Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, has been inducted as a Distinguished Honorary Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering (NAE).
The honour was conferred during an induction ceremony held in Victoria Island, Lagos, where Dangote was formally recognised for his contributions to industrial and engineering development in Nigeria.
The President of the academy, Rahamon Bello, presented the award, describing it as a Distinguished Honorary Fellowship of the NAE.
Dangote attended the ceremony alongside his daughters, other family members, and senior management staff of the Dangote Group.
Speaking at the event, the business magnate pledged continued support for the advancement of engineering and the activities of the academy.
The recognition highlights Dangote’s role in driving large-scale industrial projects that rely heavily on engineering expertise, particularly in sectors such as cement production, refining, and infrastructure development.
