The chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State, Abubakar Bawa, has resigned from the party.
Speaking to journalists in Jalingo, Bawa confirmed that he had formally notified his ward chairman in Gembu B Ward through a written resignation letter.
He said his decision followed “deep reflection and careful consideration” of recent developments within the party, including persistent internal conflicts and multiple litigations at the national level.
According to him, the prolonged crisis has severely undermined the unity, effectiveness, and integrity of the PDP across the country.
Bawa added that, given the prevailing situation and in a bid to uphold his personal political values, he had chosen to step aside and reassess his political future.
