President Bola Tinubu has directed the Armed Forces, the Nigeria Police Force and intelligence agencies to launch a manhunt for those responsible for the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, which claimed about 30 lives.

The President issued the directive following the early Monday assault on the community in Kamaru Ward, where gunmen reportedly killed men, women and children before setting several houses ablaze.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu condemned the killings, describing the attack as a senseless act of terror against innocent and defenceless citizens.

He vowed that those behind the violence would be apprehended and brought to justice, stressing that the government would not allow criminal elements to undermine the relative peace and improved security recorded in Kaduna State.

“I have directed the Armed Forces, police, and relevant intelligence agencies to intensify operations across the affected areas to track down the perpetrators swiftly and restore normalcy to the region,” the President said.

Tinubu extended his condolences to the families of the victims, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, the state government and residents, assuring them of the Federal Government’s support during this difficult period.

The President reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening the country’s security architecture by equipping security personnel and dismantling criminal networks threatening lives and property.

“Our administration has an unwavering commitment to strengthening security infrastructure, equipping response personnel, and neutralising criminal networks attempting to disrupt the peace of the nation,” he said.

He also urged residents of affected communities to work closely with security agencies by providing credible and timely intelligence to support ongoing operations and help prevent future attacks.
