The Labour Party says it has secured direct access to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) portal to upload the names of its candidates for the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued over the weekend, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Ken Asogwa, said the development addresses concerns about the party’s participation in the elections, noting that access to the INEC nomination portal is a key requirement for the formal recognition of candidates seeking elective offices.
The party said the commencement of the upload process reflects its readiness to meet electoral deadlines and comply with INEC guidelines ahead of the polls.
The Labour Party also expressed confidence in the ongoing exercise and reiterated its commitment to fielding credible candidates for the governorship and House of Assembly elections.
