President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged as the first aspirant to obtain the presidential nomination form of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the ruling party commenced sales of expression of interest and nomination forms for the 2027 general elections.
Tinubu, who was represented by the member representing Ikeja Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. James Faleke, paid the stipulated ₦100 million fee to secure the form shortly after the exercise opened.
The form was officially presented to Faleke by the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, at the party’s national secretariat.
The APC had fixed the presidential nomination form at ₦100 million, a decision that had already attracted criticism from civil society organisations prior to the commencement of sales.
As of the time of filing this report, no other presidential aspirant had collected nomination forms from the party.
