The Zamfara State Police Command has announced extensive security arrangements aimed at ensuring a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-ul-Fitr celebration across the state.

The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Balarabe Maikaba, approved the large-scale deployment of personnel and operational assets to key locations, including Eid prayer grounds, recreational centres, major highways and other identified vulnerable points.

As part of the strategy, Divisional Police Officers have been directed to adopt proactive security measures within their respective Areas of Responsibility to safeguard lives and property before, during and after the festive period.

The command urged residents to remain law-abiding, stay vigilant and promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police station or relevant security agency.

The police reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace, security and public order, assuring residents of sustained efforts to protect communities across Zamfara State.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Yazid Abubakar, stated that the command remains resolute in ensuring a safe and secure environment throughout the celebrations.
