President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Chief Nyesom Wike, on his birthday, commending his performance and contributions to national development.
In a statement issued on Thursday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President described Wike as an audacious and result-driven public servant whose leadership continues to drive visible transformation in the nation’s capital.
Tinubu praised the former Rivers State governor for his resilience, courage, and commitment to excellence, noting that his interventions have accelerated infrastructure development across the FCT.
The President specifically highlighted the recent breakthrough in the long-abandoned Apo–Karshi Road project, describing it as a major achievement that ended a 14-year construction stalemate.
“Nyesom Wike has been one of the shining stars in the cabinet, an exceptional performer, developing infrastructure in the Federal Capital as never seen before and proving that his moniker as ‘Mr Project’ is not limited to his home state of Rivers,” Tinubu said.
He also acknowledged Wike’s role in advancing the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda, despite belonging to a different political party.
“I commend him for being one of the champions of our Renewed Hope Agenda, even though he belongs to another party, and wish him well as he marks another year in his life journey,” the President added.
Tinubu wished the FCT Minister good health, renewed strength, and continued success in the service of the nation.
