The Nasarawa State Police Command has dismissed reports alleging a kidnapping incident at Gidan Zakara, located at Kilometre 10 along the Keffi–Abuja road, describing the claims as false and misleading.

According to the Command, two individuals suspected of circulating the false alarm—accompanied by a viral video—have been arrested for questioning to determine their roles in spreading the rumour.

Residents were urged to disregard the circulating claims and continue with their normal activities without fear, as police authorities affirmed that there is no security threat in the area.

The Command reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and property across the state, adding that it is working to bring all individuals responsible for spreading false information to justice.
