A newly established Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Ejiba, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State, has been attacked by armed bandits.

The incident occurred during Sunday service, forcing worshippers to flee as gunshots rang out across the community.

Locals said the attackers invaded the church without warning, forcing congregants to run for safety. The pastor, popularly known as Orlando, was abducted alongside his wife and several other members.

Residents described the attack as frightening, noting that the community was thrown into chaos as the bandits operated freely. The exact number of abducted persons has not yet been confirmed.
