President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accepted the resignation of Geoffrey Uche Nnaji, the Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology.

Nnaji tendered his resignation on Tuesday amid allegations reportedly levelled against him. In his resignation letter, he expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for the opportunity to serve the nation, noting that he had been a target of political blackmail.

Appointed in August 2023, Nnaji served a little over a year before stepping down from the Federal Executive Council.

In a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu thanked Nnaji for his service and wished him success in his future endeavours.
