Nasarawa State Governor Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule has congratulated Mrs. Justina Ofoku on her election as Chairperson of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ Nasarawa State Council.
In a congratulatory message, he personally signed, Governor Sule described her emergence as a demonstration of the confidence reposed in her capabilities, professionalism and commitment to the ideals of journalism profession which the NUJ epitomizes.
The Governor expressed confidence that the new NUJ Chairperson would provide purposeful leadership, promote the welfare of journalists and uphold the ethics of the profession throughout her tenure.
Governor Sule also commended members of the NUJ, Nasarawa State Council, for conducting a peaceful election, saying it is testament to the maturity, unity and in line with democratic values that continue to guide the Council.
He expresses hope that the cordial working relationship that exists between the Nasarawa State Government and the NUJ will be sustained in the collective pursuit of development, accountability and responsible communication.
He wishes Mrs. Ofoku a successful tenure.
