Afrobeats artiste Habeeb Badmus, popularly known as Portable, has protested his defeat to skit maker Carter Efe in a celebrity boxing match held on Saturday.

Speaking during a live session on Instagram after the bout, the singer alleged that the contest was biased against him.

“I was robbed. Carter Efe was not professional enough. He was strangling with his long hands and height. I threw him many punches—why didn’t you people count them?” he said, also demanding payment of what he claimed to be about ₦200 million in streaming revenue.

Portable further accused the organisers of unfair treatment, insisting that his punches were not properly scored and that his opponent relied on physical advantage.

Despite his complaints, he downplayed the loss, saying personal milestones outweighed the outcome of the fight.

“You can only buy a belt with money, but a child cannot be bought… My wife just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. I value that more than a belt,” he added.

The match, part of the Chaos in the Ring 4 event held at Balmoral Hall in Lagos, ended in a unanimous decision in favour of Carter Efe, with all three judges scoring it 27–30.

The comedian leveraged his height and reach to control the fight across three rounds, landing cleaner punches and dictating the pace to secure victory.

Before the bout, Portable had expressed confidence in winning a third title, following earlier victories over Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington, but was ultimately outboxed on the night.
