The Nasarawa State Police Command has successfully rescued four abducted children, reuniting them safely with their families.

The operation followed a report on 31 December 2025 regarding the sudden disappearance of the children under suspicious circumstances. Acting on credible intelligence, detectives collaborated with operatives of the FCT Police Command to locate the suspects’ hideout, where the children were recovered unharmed.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the children were allegedly abducted by Abraham Asoje (28) and Joy Bolaje (29), both residents of Ado Junction, Karu Local Government Area. The suspects had reportedly kept the children in confinement prior to the police intervention.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, commended the operatives for their professionalism and dedication, reassuring residents of the Command’s commitment to protecting lives and property.

Parents and guardians have been urged to remain vigilant and ensure the safety of their wards. The public is also encouraged to report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or via the Command’s emergency lines: 08037461715 and 07032532391.

The police noted that this incident underscores the importance of community vigilance and cooperation with law enforcement in preventing and addressing crimes, particularly those targeting vulnerable individuals like children.
