Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed the positive impact of his administration across the state, marking three years of governance focused on development, welfare, and infrastructure.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) had earlier criticized the governor, claiming the state was facing systemic failure, citing ongoing judicial strikes and other governance challenges. However, Adeleke’s office, through his spokesperson Olawale Rasheed, dismissed the criticisms and highlighted the administration’s achievements.
“In Osun today, the results of good governance are evident. No matter where you look, the people are witnessing tangible progress under Governor Adeleke,” Rasheed said in a statement on Sunday.
The governor’s administration has prioritized citizens’ welfare, including settling accumulated wage debts, ensuring career progression and financial benefits for workers, fast-tracking bond issuances for pensioners, and implementing expansive healthcare coverage.
On infrastructure, Rasheed noted that every part of Osun State is experiencing development, from new bridges and roads connecting communities to upgraded healthcare centers meeting World Health Organization (WHO) standards. Public school facilities have been renewed and equipped, while 31 new tractors with implements have been procured to boost mechanized farming—a step the APC reportedly failed to achieve in 12 years.
Rasheed criticized APC spokesperson Sunday Akere’s assessment of the administration, saying, “It is unsurprising that he confuses the failures of past governments with the progress achieved under Governor Adeleke. This administration has delivered superlative results for the people of Osun.”
Governor Adeleke’s office emphasized that the administration remains committed to continuing its transformative initiatives to improve lives across Osun State.
